Below are some helpful safety tips when out in the sun:

  • Cover up with UV protective clothing whenever outdoors.
  • Apply sunscreen (SPF 15 or higher) to all exposed areas of your body 20 minutes before you go in the sun. 
    Reapply often, especially if you are swimming.
  • Put on sunglasses to protect your eyes from UV radiation.
  • Wear a hat to protect your head, neck and ears.
  • Take regular breaks from the sun.
  • Adopt a safe skin regime year-round.  UV rays can cause skin damage at any time of the year.
